MISA ME Photography bio picture
  • HELLO AND WELCOME! I am Marisa, a wedding and portrait photographer based in Annapolis, MD. I'm a believer in collecting life's little moments, not things. Endlessly inspired by laughter and a chaser of that dreamy light. My photographic style in three words…fresh, candid, always with a touch of sun flare!

A bit of hustle and a lot of heart have brought me in touch with some of the most incredible families, couples and individuals. With every snap shot taken, I'm reminded that life should always be an adventure filled with new faces, inspiring places, and stories to share.

It is my hope that the images we create together will allow you to relive your life's greatest adventures for years to come.

If you’re like me, sitting at your work desk dreaming of warmer days and being outside with your family then this is the blog post for you. I have captured the King family on camera many times but this particular session holds a special place in my heart. It was their last session here in Maryland before a big move across country.  Life doesn’t stay as is and I’m beyond grateful I was able to document so many milestones for this family. I hope our paths will cross again in the very near future!

These photos are beautiful as always! Thank you for the photos and for the post! 🙂

A few months back I set off on a little adventure to the gorgeous coastline of Wilmington and Surf City, North Carolina to visit my sister and her family. I fell head over heels in love with the light colored sandy beaches, long stretching piers and beach-town vibes. I decided to take advantage of the gorgeous landscape and a free evening to offer mini sessions to a few local families. I was an absolute blast! I can tell you with complete assurity that I will most definitely be back! Hopefully, this fall. First up, its the Randall family. There were so many laughs shared, sand everywhere, a wonderful breeze and smiles…lots and lots of smiles.

If there is one photography session format I absolutely love it is mini sessions. Yes, they are great for clients but from a personal standpoint they provide the opportunity to reconnect with so many past and current clients both wedding and portrait. I can see how quickly their adorable children are growing and hear about the awesome adventures life has taken them on since we last snapped photographs. Mini sessions also bring about new faces that I hope to photograph for years to come!

So, what is a mini session? Mini sessions are the petite version of a regular full-format photography session. The mini sessions I offer are 30 minutes long whereas a regular session can last anywhere from 1 to 1.5 hours. They take place on a specified date at a preselected location and tend to run throughout an entire evening. Meaning I could photograph 10+ families in one day!

Clients love the budget-friendly price point but also the fact that they end up with a gallery of quality images to choose digitals, prints and products from. In my case, the investment for a mini session includes a client’s choice of up to a certain number of digital images for keeps. Essentially, they are a quick way for small families, couples and individuals to obtain professional quality images at a slightly lesser price point.

Choosing between a regular full-format photography session and a mini session is a client’s personal choice. There are definite perks to each!  Full format sessions can be customized. Meaning you select the date based on availability and the location(s). Because more photography time is included clients will receive a larger gallery of images to order and choose from. There is also the benefit of an outfit change! They are ideal for both small groupings and large. Last but not least, the session is all about you and no one else. We have the entire time during that golden hour to explore and capture so many beautiful moments of you with the ones you love.

MISA ME Photography will be offering a few mini session dates this fall – to be announced very soon! So keep your eyes peeled. They tend to sell out very quickly with the holidays approaching.

Here are some snaps from an evening of mini sessions this past June at Kinder Farm Park.

You’d never know this pair shared a bit of nervousness in anticipation of their engagement session. Complete naturals! But that just speaks to Rick and Kelley’s love for each other…its so natural, so beautiful to watch and especially capture on camera. Imagine the lushest greenery, the tallest stretch of trees, and an open field with grasses beyond measure. Their spring engagement session at Kinder Farm Park will be the perfect contrast to their winter wedding this upcoming February. When I say ‘I can’t wait!’ I truly mean it. Perhaps a little snow fall? Fingers crossed!

Flashback Friday! This couple will tie the knot at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club in just a few short weeks. I photographed their engagement session in the great city of Baltimore just last year. Can you tell I’m playing catchup on blogging? Baltimore is quite special to this pair as it is where their love story began. For their engagement session we traipsed around the promenade at the Ritz Carlton and Harbourview Towers. We also used the American Visionary Arts Museum as a beautiful backdrop at the beginning of their session. You can definitely say I am counting down the days until they say I do!
