With the nation’s capital right in their backyard, this couple wanted nothing more than to incorporate bits and pieces of their hometown into their wedding day, and perfectly so they did! With the help of Jessica Maskell Events, every moment and detail had a personal touch. A small Colorado pin that belonged to Carrie’s grandfather was incorporated into her bouquet. Her purse was made to look like an Emily Bronte novel, as she is an avid reader. Their portraits took place at the Iwo Jima Memorial and Netherlands Carillion where Corey took Carrie to admire the city skyline and share their first date. Guests arrived a Top of the Town in Arlington, VA to find their seating assignments perfectly arranged on an over-sized metro map of Washington DC with each table indicated by it’s station name. But my favorite detail revealed itself earlier in the day. While Correy was getting ready he pulled out a brightly colored composition notebook. Within that notebook Carrie had beautifully handwritten memory after memory of there relationship from start to current. The sweetest diary to look upon in their future years as husband and wife. Also, thanks to this couple I regularly rock out to Olly Murs “Dance With Me Tonight”…obsessed!
